  1. Thanks. My name has finally appeared on the site. It's weird that they don't have any sort of consistent time frame.
  2. Happy belated birthday, Byaggha! :balloons::cheers: It sounds like you had lots to celebrate!
  3. I agree with Badger. You have a full 6 hours to take the test. I know for sure that I took longer than a minute on a few questions, and the test kept on going right up until 265! While it's helpful to have the question count and time ticker running in the upper right corner, it's best to relax (as much as you can) and focus on the questions, rather than what the computer is doing. Trust me, you will feel more relaxed if you do. I was convinced that I would be done after 75 questions because most of my classmates took that length of exam. When the test extended beyond 75, I almost panicked for a second there and worried about what the computer was doing and why. If I didn't get oer that quickly, I think I would have been too preoccupied to give my full attention to the test.
  4. I took all 265 this weekend and passed. I felt the same way, but there's hope! Nicky, you said that it takes 24 hours for the BON to update their website? I got my quick results on Pearson yesterday, which indicated that I passed....BON hasn't listed me yet. Think I should call?
  5. Hi there. I did not take a course, but several of my classmates took Kaplan and passed. I primarily used 2 iPhone apps; Mosby's and ATI. You don't have to have an iPhone. You can also use the Mosby's book which comes with a CD as well. I liked the convenience of a paperless system. Anyway, I took anywhere from 50-200 questions every day and I spend that last few days before my exam focusing on my weak areas. I think the more questions you are able to do, the better. Half the battle is understanding HOW to answer these type of critical thinking questions. You know the material from school; it's now a matter of getting yourself to think they way these tests need to. Good luck! You can do it!!!!!!! :)
  6. I'm glad I'm not alone, having to sit through 265 questions! It took me 3 hours and 20 minutes. I took my exam on Saturday and I was a mess when I got home. I was seriously so depressed. I did nothing but sleep on my couch. I was convinced that I failed. I was SHOCKED when I read my quick results yesterday and learned that I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thankya: I'm sharing this because I have read so many posts from people who were devastated that they had 265 questions and who were also convinced they failed. After the test I scoured the forums to try to see if anyone had passed in 265. I just want those of you who are waiting to know that it's possible! Good luck to you all!!!!!
  7. Thanks for the quick replies!!! I'll keep looking. An RN-to-MSN program would be perfect. I guess I just need to attend some of these open houses and ask about tailoring a curriculum around someone with a BA. Of course, I'm hoping this means less time in school!
  8. Hey everyone. I'm currently in school and will graduate May 2010 with my Associate's degree in Nursing. I already have a Bachelor's degree (in Psychology) and I am trying to find the most appropriate educational path for a person with my background. I want to obtain my BSN, then MSN as soon as possible. I've researched several schools in my area (PA/NJ) with RN-to-BSN programs and they all seem to cater to students who only have their ADN. Other schools offer accelerated BSN programs for people who already have a degree. These programs appear to be for those without any nursing degree. Does anyone know of a bridge program for an RN with an ADN and a BA in another specialty? Any insight you can offer is greatly appreciated! :)
