  1. Thanks for sharing your opinions about community nursing. I got something from you
  2. Successn comes from 20 percent hardwork 20 determination 10 luck and 50 percent faith... I'll pray that you''ll make it next time
  3. Do we really have to study community nursing??? I hate it!!! It sucks, and it is boring... The simplicity of the course makes me feel stupid... :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire
  4. Next time you go to a review class. Study, analyze and synthesize everything they teach you. Do not focus on the test taking strategies and short cuts, it will give you another failing score... It's of utmost important that you know the concept... Good Luck on your Third Take... Buy NCLEX 2nd edition published by W>B Saunders... Drop me a line when you make it... [email protected]...
  5. I was thinkinbg about that. Know what? you are right. Pain Scale is not always Objective. But to validate the pain scale given by the client- Include in your assestment data the facial reaction (your OWN observation) e.g facialgrimacing, frowning etc... That way you would know if the cilent is giving you the accurate measurement of pain. :)
  6. What that nurse did was outright unethical and shameful. :angryfire For one thing, in-patients deposit their stuff to the nursing station because they know that in that way their valuables are secure. Now for someone, especially a "trusted" nurse to take sometthing from his/her client w/o the knowledge of the patient is a clear case of breach of trust. But cying out for "HELP!!! The nurse is stealing something from the patient!!!" is as much unethical. We ethical standards to follow. And going around accusing a coleague is very inappropriate. What you should do is inform the supervisor of that nurse about her behaviour... Don't tell it to anybody other than the supervisor!!! If you do, you'll find yourself suspended the next day!!!
  7. My Answer will be very brief. "Nursing prof is having the skill to heal, and the spirit to care" If you are here just for the promising paycheck, LEAVE!!! You are just putting a smear in our field :angryfire :imbar :stone
  8. a patient under care has higher risk of diseases, especially those acquired from the hospital... The more a patient smokes, the more he/she losses vitamin C, thus reducing the resistance... In effect, making him/her self much more vulnerable to diseases
