  1. You got it sir, I'm originally from the Dallas area but I've been living down here for the past 4 years. My name is Michael btw. You thinking about working at all during the summer semester?
  2. Man, I was beginning to think I was never going to get any responses. But yes, bros we are for this next crazy three years. Are you from the houston area or coming from out of the area?
  3. UTHSC class of 2014! I was hoping to start a thread for people who have recently received their admittance for 2014. I was hoping to see where everyone was coming from and just to have an online meet and greet before official orientation days!
  4. Well it was awesome to finally get to meet all you guys in person, I totally missed out on the apt hunting if you guys went afterwards. I was really out of it though and was about to pass out! There is a possibility that my third room mate will be bailing on us, so here's the info from my side. I'd need just one person to live with me (hopefully you met me on friday) and my room mate chelsea (she was the girl who met us up at freebirds and she's in the grad program for Dietics.) We're looking to spend about 400-500 a person, be within 3 miles or so of the med center, looking to move in July 1, and she has a cat! But like I said, all of this is null and void if that third roomie doesn't bail, so just keep it in the back of your minds I suppose. :)
  5. hey kelli, welcome to the club. So we're all in agreement...looking at apartments right after orientation? Yall wanna do lunch right before or do they provide lunch during the orientation?
  6. Thank you! Good info to know before Friday...see you guys (girls really) then:D
  7. so which ones had waiting lists?
  8. true that, I figure I've spent maybe 95% of my life in jeans and a t-shirt...so I wouldn't want to front on you guys and be all fancy :)
  9. eamaya- I honestly didn't think I was getting into TWU so I didn't fill out the scholarship before march 1, since i didn't know til late march that I got in. I hope to be able to reapply for it in the Spring if that's possible. That Wells Fargo thing sounds awesome, do I just call a branch and make an appt or what do I do for that?
  10. ew, you had post 666 coco :-O
  11. me, apparently gov't gets stingy with grants when you already have a bachelors? What a rip... I hope the guys wanna go apt hunting, I hate to put the girls in an awkward position, especially w/o meeting you ladies first. Maybe I'll just do the hunting part with you guys and get an idea of one bedroom apts, I'm not all too opposed to living alone. See ya'll soon!
  12. booooo, i don't wanna get spammed :/
  13. how close is it to campus?
  14. tru that, just like a big condo that takes up a whole floor of a building, it would be....magnificent, lol
  15. hello to everyone old and new . I'm hoping for at least a guy or two to room with, but any small group of girls (2-3), I'm sure no one would wanna live one on one, I'd be willin to shack up, lol. So sign me up for the apt road trip, and let's keep those sights on like 500 a person! I like that one that has internet and utilities, it sounds like the best deal, but I'm cool with whatever.
  16. Man, I missed ten pages, I think that's a record, I never slack that much! I hope everyone is doing well, and littlerae is awesome for answering all those questions. I was like a 3.65 as well, and I can't remember my net at all, so maybe her net was just low? *clueless*
  17. lol at nicole, maybe I will bring my mama! For ppl wondering about who all is taking the online one, I will if we're allowed to. Does anyone know when we have to have our drug test done by?
  18. I think I'm just going it alone, no girlfriend and I'm thinking that I would look weird being this 23 year old guy chillin with his mama. I dunno, what do yall think?
  19. definitely a pickle! I personally would take the class, but I'm all about light class loads! Good luck picking, let us know what ya do.
  20. I think I'll probably be joining, but as far as that online patho class goes, I have no idea how the testing will take place.
  21. time to use a life line and call an advisor And I'm down for birthday dealio, just holla at me
  22. I'm thinking about waiting to sign up for the drug test until I get back from New Mexico...I'd really hate for them to call while I'm gone and have to reschedule and all that jazz. Packet came in though! Laura, I would definitely call if it's not in tomorrow. And yea Nicole, I've got all sorts of running around to do for my immunizations, all part of the fun of this whole thing though right? :)
  23. lol, hope I didn't screw up by changing my registration date...so where do we take the drug test? I wouldn't have to drive to houston would I?
  24. Alright, just got off the phone with deep throat (my inside contact at TWU) lol If you're going to try and take a class during the Summer, whether it be Houston or Denton, here's what we do: send an email to [email protected] with your name, ID, and a request to change your registration date from fall 09 to maymester 09, then wait until April 15th or 16th (whenever juniors can register for classes), find the appropriate class at the appropriate campus and register! Hope this helps everyone
  25. I have the number to an admission lady in denton who is really helpful. Let me know if you want that number nicole and I'll go find it fa sho.
