No I did not do Kaplans I did my own (lots of questions). I did use the school provided ATI program in it's entirety. I did NOT revisit my nursing school curriculum, I reviewed when necessary the questions I got wrong while doing my practice exams. I really relearned how to take a test, The NCLEX is as much learning what the question is as knowing the answer.

I did close to 6000 (really) we were required to do 3000 during practicum. passed with 75 q's

I waited until I received the official results before posting, I passed first time, stopped at 75 (thank God). My advice, practice thousands of computer questions (I did 6000+-) get the response instantly don't wait until you complete the review test. Read all the rationales regardless if you got the question right or wrong and understand why you got it right or wrong. You are learning to take the test, learning what the question is and what response the NCLEX is looking for. You don't need to review your entire nursing school, you are now learning the test. Understand the implications of classes of drugs. Review your basic steps of operations be able to put them in proper order. I had 18 SATA questions (my last 8 were these darn things) my secret, look at each response as a separate true/false answer, don't mentally combine the responses, let them stand allow while you make the selections. Good luck my brothers and sisters, trust in yourself and God, you will succeed if you put in the effort. It's not easy, but it is fair.

I have passed the NCLEX as I stated in the first line of my post, thank you for your kind wishes. Based on your spelling and sentience structure, please have someone proof your resume and cover letter. I am offering that as constructive criticism and not a put down, however one is always judged by what they write as unfair as that sounds it has been my experience (I'm 46). I have a diverse education, with a degree in Construction Management as well as a Fire Science degree, I am a licensed commercial pilot, a licensed Paramedic (Ala) and a Certified General Contractor (Fla). I feel I am in a position to judge the quality of an education program and what a good one costs. The single most expensive cost to any school is the cost of the educational staff and you will find more advanced degree and doctorate level educators at Keiser for one simple reason, they pay better then the community collages, simple fact. That said, I agree with the idea that your education is what you make it to be, not the staff. I reject the statement that "I want to go where more people pass the NCLEX that is the better education" nursing is a lot more then passing one test. Keiser is unique in it's single lesson approach with an entire class given (pre-requirements) in one month as this is very fast paced and may not be for everyone. If you miss one 5 hour day at Keiser you have missed a weeks worth of material. You better wear your big boy/girl pants when attending. It is a very tuff program with a loss rate of nearly 50 percent (in nursing program) The GPA and entrance requirements is actually only part of it, being able to stay with the program is what separates the adults from the children. I researched several collages and universities and could attend any one of five and Keiser Melbourne was my choice based on the quality of the graduates as researched by their employment records as well my own needs as to a fast paced intense education with small class size. Like any business they set the prices to be profitable just like any business, they somehow seem to fill every class they have and are currently over a year backlogged, wonder why? Oh by the way, Keiser was the furthest from my home (over an hour) and the most expensive but in my opinion the best choice for me, your mileage may vary. We all have different requirements and values, heck that’s why they make different flavors of ice-cream.

I graduated Keiser Melbourne, passed NCLEX first time w 75q. My ASN is fully transferable to upgrade to BSN. My class size was less then 20, whats yours 80 or 90?? Good luck with that. The schools reputation is a big plus when getting haired, ask any BCC grad still looking who got all the jobs. Yep it costs a lot to hire quality instructors and keep class size small when .gov is not helping by paying some of the students who don't care to be in school, you know what I mean. Just enjoy your state schools with the low paid over worked instructors and huge classes that only observe during clinical s. Check the number of Keiser grads that are working compared to your CC grads. then ask yourself if having a job to pay off that loan is better then a small loan while you are looking. I smell sour grapes.
