Hi guys, this is my first time posting on here; although I have been trolling through the pages for a couple of years. I am an LVN, and have been working in LTC since 2003. I am so excited, I recieved an email from El Centro yesterday that I passed the first part of the entrance requirement for the LVN to RN bridge program. Now, all I have to do is take a 5 days skills check off and review, and hopefully I will get started on my path to being a RN. I am a little nervous about the skills check off, the community I work in is private pay, and we don't do IV's, Extensive wound care, or anything of that nature. We rarley even get a foley catheter. Does anyone know what areas are covered in the skills check-off? IV's NG tubes? Yikes
