  1. Tinley Park is an okay suburb. Also around there that is nice is Orland Park and Homewood / Flossmoor areas. Getting to the U of C from the south side is much more convenient than from any other direction. Good Luck!
  2. Jill, Try this link. It may help you begin your search. http://www.mbon.org/main.php
  3. The charge nurse does not seem to take her job seriously, is unorganized, or lazy. I haven't been a floor RN for a few years but I don't understand why one nurse would get 2 admits and another no admits. Does she have a rationale for her uneven assignments? Unless the RNs with less pts have higher acuity? I think the best thing for you to do would be to discuss this with your manager. Continue to document details so that you can make clear examples of decisions the charge nurse is making. Good luck!
  4. Female - $28.20/hr. Interesting topic. Good luck!

  6. Hello- I have been out of the cath lab for 5 years to venture into the medical sales industry. I have decided to return to cath lab nursing because I believe it is my "passion". Can any of you offer some advice as to what I can do to get up to speed quickly and efficiently? I have a few weeks before starting to brush up on things. Also, it doesn't appear that things have changed too drastically in the past 5 years... is that so? Any advice would be very appreciated! Thanks!:)
