  1. BoyNurse2: I have some questions about MTSA. Do you check these boards often?
  2. boynurse- I am assuming that you have applied to MTSA? If you did, did you get accepted? I am looking at having a 3.1-3.2 GPA and a little nervous about getting an interview. I feel if I do get one however I can do ok. GorillaRN- I have applied to both schools. And if i dont get in to either I am applying to LMU. What about yourself?

I was lookign at LGV's website. Does $150 sound about right for the price of the DVD's? Just curious if others paid that much.
  4. I know the last post was in 2008, but I just sent all of my information in today for MTSA. Is there any students out there or those that have applied that can give me any info?
  5. Does anyone have any insight on the Chatt CRNA School? I am going to apply for this fall and I am trying to get the low down. Anyone who has heard about the program please give me some info!
  6. I am looking to applying to MTSA and also Chattanooga's CRNA Schools. Has anyone applied to either of these schools? I am looking to gain some insight further than what I have read on their respected websites.
  7. I would like to be able to become more independent, and I wasn't sure if you could do that or not through CRNA, like you can FNP.
  8. My grandfather recently had a procedure done where anesthesia was involved. He was talking to the CRNA and he told my grandfather we worked independently. I am curious from those who have been out there and experienced the life, is it possible to break off on your own. He also asked the CRNA how much he made last year, he said 200K. Any insight into this would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
  9. Okay so I am like many before looking into the online MSN-NP route. I am looking at doing mine through ETSU, in Tennessee. I have my fair share of concerns just as anyone else. I see that finiding clinical rotations can be one downfall, also I was wondering how you attain the skills that are needed to practice, such as in an ER setting. I currently work in an ER and our NP's can suture, lance, and do things such as eye exams with dye and so forth. How on earth are you supposed to gain these skills over the computer? Going through RN school, we had manicans we practiced on, but not online. I am just curious if these on-line prepared NP's are not quite as skill proficient as classroom based???? Also has anyone heard of ETSU's online program? Any pros or cons?
  10. This is very interesting. I looked up the website and it sounds very interesting. What exactly does that fellowship get you? I am interested in getting into sports medicine once I complete FNP school. Does anyone have any insight about this subject?
