I am graduating on December 8th and will sit for boards some time in FEB hopefully but I precepted in ICU at St. Francis in Columbus GA and had hoped to get a job there and unfortunately they did not have room for me there but have offered a potential position in the cath Lab. I am slightly nervous but really excited at the opportunity to be the very first new grad hired in their cath lab but at the same time I am nervous. What are your thoughts as to what I can do to better prepare myself and give myself more confidence such as books and so forth. I know I'm not going to have any real confidence until I can have some actual hands on experience during orientation but anything that you guys think will give me a boost and better prepare myself please do tell! Also some positive work experiences and positive outlooks on this vs other specialty critical care floors is great too!
