Top Ranked Accelerated BSN-->NP
Thanks! Does BC have an accelerated BSN program? I haven't looked into it yet. I heard some people are having a hard time finding nursing positions in Boston. Is this True? I'm living in Philadelphia right now and the demand is still high. I'm just trying to get a feel for the other cities I'm interested in looking at. My boyfriend may end up in Boston, Berkley or Philadelphia so I want to cover all my bases just in case. :wink2:

Drexel ACE versus Jefferson FACT
Wow...You guys are a so incredibly helpful. Thank you! Its so nice to have everyone's perspective. I keep researching and going through websites, asking staff etc but I rarely get a clear cut answer so this site is so incredibly necessary. Thanks for the heads up on Boston too. I was getting that vibe when I visited Umass - Boston last October. They didn't seem to know what was going to happen tot their program while I was there. I noticed Drexel was a bit disorganized when applying. Trying to reach different people and set up times to speak with them was nearly impossible, whereas Jefferson was much more responsive. Drexel has a great name but Jefferson is a great Medical School and realy nice place to work. I'm just curious if any of this weighs into it for you guys while actually trying to manuever through the program. At Penn I know they had particularly great things to say about students from both ACE and FACT programs which is why I chose those two as my top choices. Thanks so much for your help!!!! again :) :typing

Accelerated BSN as 2nd degree - aiming to move directly into an MSN (NP)
I'm trying to find a place that will rank the top programs that allow a person to get a BSN and then work into an NP in the fastest amount of time yet still provide a great education and experience. I currently have a degree in psychology and neuroscience. I would like to complete an accelerated nursing program in either Boston, Philadelphia or San Francisco. I'm looking for as much advice as possible. I know I want an NP as the end result but getting there is still a bit foggy. I'm 28 years old with a degree in psych and neuroscience. I'm a really hard worker. I currently work 50+ hours a week in a hospital in research and take classes on the side. I love patients and I love academia. I need resources so I can better understand this process. I would like to further my education so I can continue to advance my career in psychiatry. Thanks!!! End result: I want to have my own patients, be able to prescribe and work in an academic hospital with the ability to have as much patient interaction as possible but also still have the opportunity to do research and potentially teach. What's my best bet?

Drexel ACE versus Jefferson FACT
My two top choices of Nursing Programs in Philadelphia are Drexel's ACE program and Jefferson's FACT program. Im trying to figure out which is the best fit for me. I'm 28 years old and plan to start next year. I am trying to get my degree as a Nurse Practitioner as quickly as possible but want the best education available to me. I can't seem to find ranking of fast track programs that show the success rate in the field. I currently work at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in psychiatry and love working in the academic setting. I just need to further my education so I can eventually have my own patients, prescribe and potentially continue doing research. Any suggestions? I'm also interested in the Boston and San Francisco area. What's everyone's opinion on Drexel versus Jefferson? Is one program better connected to an MSN or NP path? Thanks Any ideas on places to apply in the San Fran or Boston area??? I have all the prereqs for most fast track programs.
