  1. I actually got my degree first in Healthcare Administration and that entails more of jobs in medical billing and coding or management of doctor offices. I had trouble finding a job in my area in this department even after I was certified through the state. The best job I got at the time was as a secretary in a hospital unit. And, since I didn't want to do that for the rest of my life, I decided to go back to school. I got my degree in nursing and now am in my first year as a nurse. I plan to go back to school some day for advanced degrees in hopefully both fields, so who knows where I might end up then. Don't know if that answer helps, but that was my experience.
  2. We use these at the place I work: It's hard to describe without drawing it but using "Whitecat 5000" diagrams: 1st diagram- WBC >------ HGB on top and HCT on bottom of lines------ 2nd diagram- ----SODIUM on top, POTASSIUM on bottom in first break,----/ ---CHLORIDE, CO2---in second break ----/ ----BUN, CREATININE in last break-----and Hope that makes sense.
