  1. Thank you very much for the valuable info. I was just laid off (i went into cosmetic nursing for past 2 years) and i had known it was going to be a long, hard, road of finding a new job. I will definately search for those keywords on the internet. I really, really, want to be aggressive in finding a new job, i just needed to know if i was kind of wasting my time with all the nursing recruiters calling me. Thanks again.
  2. Thank you for your reply. I am in the HPSP program for 3 years in Minnesota. I have many random drug screens and attend NA meeting twice a week. I am over half way done, i am off narcotic restriction now. ( i diverted narcs.) So you said "after your BON contract was completed" was that contract a similar program to mine. And then you stated your state does not offer the option of an alternate program. So i was just confused as to if you had to go thru what i did or not, let me know and thanks again for all your excellent info.
  3. Hi am having a very hard time finding a job because of my recovery nurse status. However, so many travel nursing job recruiters have called me and i am just wondering "do travel nursing assignments happen for nurses in recovery?" They seem desperate to talk to me, but once they truly find out my situation, i just don't know if they will want to hire me anymore. Thanks
  4. Your story is very very similar to mine. I shot up Dilaudid, Morphine, Demerol right at work. Found myself digging in the sharps container. I was so ashamed of myself afterwards. Unfortunately i couldn't stop and was busted. I was forced to resign and get help. I have been in the HPSP program for almost 2 years now. Thank you for your story, it really hit home and made me realize that im not alone here..
  5. Hi everyone. I am an RN. I have a passion for computers and nursing. Does anyone know of programs or the schooling needed to become an IT nurse?...Thank you.
