  1. Hey out there! I'm an SRNA looking for some info: Does anyone know which states are the most, and least, restrictive in scope of practice for CRNAs?
  2. I will ditto Miss December's last reply, with one addition: Even though your goal may seem a long way off & anesthesia school is WAY hard, it is also WAY worth it. You're not tethered to a pager like an MD and you make more than a lot of docs. I've been an SRNA (StudentRNA) for anly 2 months, and I've already fielded an unsolicited job offer of $120,000 / year for a 40 hour work week. Get high grades & impressive critical care experience (one year min) and your chances of being accepted at an anesthesia school are very good. Good luck!
  3. I clepped a class in my undergrad BSN & I was accepted into the only school to which I applied (Georgetown). The anesthesia schools are looking at your critical care experience & your GPA. Keep in mind: the average acceptance rate is roughly 25% at a given school. So logically, if you apply to more than 4 schools, you have a good chance of getting in somewhere, all things being equal.
