Hello---I am a 47-yr. old woman looking to change careers (from Dental to Medical). I'd like to become a Surgical Technician and thought it may benefit me if I received my A.S. degree to become a LVN/ LPN first. Although my research has lead me to a few Community Colleges with Nursing programs in Northern California, I wanted to know how the Allied Health community revered 'Western Career College' programs and their graduates. They have an acceleraded LVN program. Although, it would be much more expensive, but faster than the community college route and well---I'm no 'spring chicken'. I'm concerned about their reputation and want to make the best academic choice. Your thoughts? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
