  1. Hi, I'm new to this forum. I am considering changing careers and getting into medical field, specifically getting an RN. My plan is to start off as a Surgical Tech. But I've been diagnosed with Hep C, (drug use decades ago) which I've been treating for a year now, and I'm aware that there is a problem with this being admittted to a med. program. Does this automatically preclude my entering the medical field, regardless of program? If it does, is there anyway around it, or for me to meet some standard (viral count??) to be admitted? Any of you with experience in this area either directly or indirectly I would appreciate your input. Thanks Brad
