  1. I was told by Karen Long (Program Administrator) that most of the clinicals are in Ft. Worth Hospitals except for the Psychiatric Clinicals which are held in Wichita Falls. The Wichita Falls Clinical is a two week program and all the students in the class attend at the same time. Sorry, I don't know which hosptals in Ft. Worth. I start the program in August.
  2. Weatherford has really stepped it up in past years. Their NCLEX pass rate for the past 3 years is better than TCC.
  3. Hi Stacygirl, You must've just missed getting in. My point total was 23 with an overall TEAS of 85.9. I really spent a lot of time studying for the TEAS. Even though I studied, my Science was low at 73.3. I don't know why I had such a problem with the Science because I just finished AP took Chem last semester. I just drew a blank on some of the questions. I have been hearing a lot of good things about Weatherford and am excited to go even though it's going to be a commute. I wanted to go to TCC originally but didn't get in because of a PE course requirement. I think that the process there has really gotten out of hand. I'm putting that behind me and looking forward to Weatherford. Good luck!
  4. After the smoke has cleared, I'm wondering how many of you are starting to the ADN program at Weatherford in August. I'd really like to see if we can get a carpool going from the Arlington/Ft. Worth area and also talk about starting a study group, Anyone interested?
  5. The official turn-down letter came today.
  6. Hi, I spoke with Jonell Mitchell. She even told me at the info session that I would have no trouble getting in. As she put it "I would just slide in there". She needs to retire. I was really bitter at first but now I think that it may be a blessing. I did get accepted at Weatherford and I've heard some really good things about the program.
  7. Just to let you guys know that I heard from the counselor at TCC that I wouldn't be getting in for the fall semester because they had decided to not give me credit for PE. They had originally told me that since I had served in the Navy that I would get credit for PE. They will look for anyway to keep you out of the program. I am very fortunate that I got into the program at Weatherford College.
  8. The counselor from the South Campus at TCC called me yesterday and told me that I wouldn't be getting in this fall because I didn't have my PE complete. Can you believe that? How petty can you be? Oh well, I did get into Weatherford and I'm very happy to be going there.
  9. I got my acceptance letter today too! Congrats to all!
  10. What campus of TCC do you attend? I go to the SE campus.
  11. Karen is a jewel. Why can't Tarrant County be as easy to deal with?
  12. Hopefully our scores will be good enough. Thanks.
  13. Does anyone know what the final point cut to get into Weatherford was?
  14. I'd say you should go for it. I have an MBA in Healthcare Administration and am just finishing up the required courses for entry into an ADN program. I was in the same category with my previous salary but have decided to do what I want to do for a change even though the same money is not there. I'm going for the shortest route to RN because having another degree isn't important to me although it may be to you. You'll have to start over and take all of the basic sciences and get an A in every one of them to get in. I got no preference from the schools for having a Masters Degree. I start my program this fall. Good luck in your decision!
  15. Thanks for the message but not all of it came through. I understand that you are commuting to Weatherford from Mansfield. Thanks
