  1. True. I'd really like to be known as a Nurse and be able to get through this because there have been people who have doubted me. At this point, I'm thinking, although I'd like to be just like my mom, a nurse, at the same time I feel as if it's not my passion. On the other hand, I like to remind myself that there are very hard working people out there who do jobs they never intended to do.. so, why can't I do this. You know? I do need to adjust my behavior and learn some more discipline.
  2. I'd say it's my anxiety when I study. The material is also extensive. Especially in anatomy, a lot of info for my brain to retain in short periods. Teacher's good. I try using flash cards to study and visual aids from text book. I agree with a lot of studying and persistence but I'm afraid I haven't dedicated myself enough to stick to those words. Sometimes I struggle concentrating.
  3. Thank you all so much for the advice. I highly appreciate it. Unfortunately, I've tried replying to a couple of posts but was not able to submit them. I don't know if it's the site or my computer but whenever I try to reply with a long respond, it never goes through. I'll see what I can do. All of your responses has helped me broaden my perspective on the situation I'm in right now. You've helped me realize my options and motivated me once again to pursue my dream of being a Nurse. Thank you, hopefully I'll be able to respond so I could get more relative opinions.
  4. Try checking out West Coast University. I believe the last time I've checked, they had a program where you could get your Bachelors in 3 years with certain requirements. If I'm not mistaken. There's also Mt. Saint Mary's College of Nursing. I'm not too sure what they offer but you might want to check it out. These are located in California. Best of luck to you. I understand where you're coming from.
  5. I'm super stressed about my future career as a Nurse. Most of you nursing students may know that the main science classes include Anatomy, Microbiology, and Physiology. Well the grade policy at the college I attend, is that you need a certain overall gpa of 2.5 between those 3 classes. Meaning you'd need at least A's and B's, or maybe 2 C's and an A. Another thing is you can only repeat one of those classes once. Well I've done Microbiology, took it twice. Got a D the first time, a C the second. Now I'm in Anatomy, half way through, I don't think I'll make it with a C. Okay ... now, I absolutely don't know what to do to achieve my dreams of being a Nurse, most importantly.. as soon as possible. I suppose it's my fault for not doing what I'm suppose to do, but how do I get around this and be able to achieve my goals? All suggestions, comments, advice is highly appreciated. I really need guidance. I got no one else to go to for this kind of advice so I'm asking all of you Nursing people worldwide lol... :)
