  1. :redbeathe Thanks in advance to those who are giving us nursing students hope!! Honestly though, are there any of you who, (even faced with the most horrid situations and unstable lifestyle) come home every day thinking 'you know what I may be working my ar'se off but I made a difference today it was one smile out of the 50 patients I saw but, it was worth every minute?) Do those who would run for the hills if they got the chance regret their decision on going to nursing school? Is all the hard work just to get accepted to a nursing program worth all the stress and and commotion once you get a job?
  2. I know I won't recieve 100 on everything unless your the child of a superhero but I've had so many nurses tell me that many people who enroll in the nursing program fail their first semester!!!
  3. hi everyone its Firefly, I am recently enrolled in nursing school and need some tips on how to ace assignments and when the time comes clinicals!!!! Should I always ask questions in class, be a complete suckup (ha ha) or just keep to myself . What about when working among classmates? What about what not to do in nursing school. Some profs are very particular about certain things and I need to make sure I impress.
  4. Hi everyone. I've got a friend with a wee problem and I need advice. She's post menopause. Now for a couple weeks now has had severe discomfort "down there" and recently went to the gynecologist for an update on her biopsy hoping that they could do something to numb the discomfort. the doctors said that there wasn't any sign of cancer and that they had absolutely no idea what was wrong with her. Now she had been prescribed with cream and it hasn't been very effective. It's get worse every day. Now I've visited some menopause websites and some women say that if you stick a vitamin e pill up there it helps. My poor freind is very upset as you can imagine. She is going to go see the dermatologist soon. Hopefully she'll make some progress. Any suggestions would be great!
