Hello, I have been looking into all the different Masters programs offered in nursing and I would really love to Masters in Anesthesia. I graduated with a Bachelors in Biological Sciences with a 2.0 GPA. (poor GPA due to many health issues in the family) I am working to get my diploma in nursing and have a 3.75 GPA and I have another 2 semesters to go. Do you think I should retake classes from my Biological Sciences major to raise that G.P.A. or should I non-matriculate in a graduate school and take 1 or 2 classes to prove I am capable of graduate level courses. Has anyone non-matriculated in a graduate school before and will my low GPA stand in my way? Also, is it common for a new graduate with a diploma in nursing and a bachelors in biology to gain a position in ICU? I have to say this site is great and I think its awesome that other nurses/ pre-nurses are there to help another one out.
