Screening for employment
I recently got hired as an RN and they want me to have a physical examination. I'm sure they will probably do the drug screening as well, not worried about that at all. However I am concerned about if they were to do an alcohol screening. Has anyone ever been tested for their alcohol level before employment???

Just took my NCLEX exam this afternoon... Does anyone know if California participates in the "NCLEX Quick Results Service" or is there another method to use to find out your results for NCLEX?

ive been working on this problem for a while now and i'm so confused how did they come up with the 2.091? here is the problem: the physician orders a child to receive lr iv at 2 times fluid maintenance for 6 hours. the child weighs 48.6 lbs (22.091 kg) how many drops per minute will you infuse the iv fluids (tubing gtt factor 15 drops/ml) 10 x 100 = 1000 10 x 50 = 500 2.091 x 20 = 41.82 1541.82 1541.82 divided by 24 = 64.2425 or 64.243 ml/hr for maintenance 64.243 x 2 = 128.486 or 128.49 ml/hr for 2 times maintenance 128.49 x 15 = 32.1225 or 32.12 answer: 32 or 33 drops per minute 60

I need some advice with my Nursing Dx for my postpartum patient. She is a 25 y/o, she had a vag. delivery at 39 wks. Her hemoglobin was 7.4 and her HCT was 23.7. She fall 24 hrs after her delivery trying to go to the bathroom; her BP was 98/63. She was also positive for GBS. I was thinking about choosing "Risk for Injury" for my Nursing Dx.
