Hello, I am a 31yr old single mom and for the last 10 years I have been a designer in the construction and homebuilding trade. Because I had my son when I was young, I never went to college although I do have my High School Diploma. I am looking into starting at Kaplan college but I don't even know where to start. I know if I go over there and talk to them, they will wrap me up in their sales schpeel. I don't even know what degree I am looking for...I am thinking LVN or RN? I would like to work in a medical office - perhaps surgeons office that does plastic or bariatric surgery. I dont really want to work at a hospital but I just have no idea yet! I also really want to do an accelerated program. Do I need any pre requisites to go to Kaplan or that type of institution? To do an accelerated program, am I limited to a private school that costs an arm and a leg? I just don't even know where to start...any help or advice would be much appreciated! Thank you! Kayla
