Currently I am an LVN working in California-been an LVN for years, I am the only one to put food on the table and make sure the lights are on every month, It's high time I finally get that RN, hell, I do everything an RN does for way less money, respect and opportunities... Now, I know in California, fearing for their own job security, the freaking RN's put a stop to the LVN bridging to ASN RN online and, so to make it as difficult as possible for LVN's to get certified as an RN the only way I can get the year more of education I need to require me to sit for RN boards in California, I either have to sit in a class FULL TIME (which, obviously I can't do, unless I find a sugar daddy to support me) or get a BSN online, which I've been allowed to do, (thanks to the great generousity of the head mother buddah RN) however, that course is thousands of more dollars and takes a minium of 3 years to complete.(of course) So, I plan to take a normal ASN LV/LPN to RN course in California then sit for RN boards in another state, get licensed, then get a licensed in Calfornia where i actually work. My question is, will california license me right away or is there a waiting period? thank you
