  1. Can an NP work a second job or pick up hours (evenings/weekends) as an RN in a hospital or other setting?
  2. Does anyone know of any nursing programs (ADN or Accelerated 2nd degree BSN) that offer classes and clinicals in the evenings or on the weekends? At this point I'm pretty much willing to move anywhere, but I simply can't afford to do school without working and it seems that every program that I see in every state (even two year ADN programs) have classes and clinicals all day long and most have classes both day and late afternoon or evening. Does anyone know of any programs that are friendly to those of us second career folks with family and financial obligations who can't quit working for two years? Thanks.
  3. Hi, I'm looking for any recommendations that people might have for accelerated 2nd degree BSN programs. I only had a 2.9 cumulative when I earned my BA, but I'm currently taking the prereq sciences Anatomy, Physiology, Chemistry, Microbiology, etc. and doing very well. I'm seeking any recommendations for programs that maybe aren't too difficult to get into and/or don't have a long waiting list and aren't ridiculously expensive. I'm currently in Minnesota and all of my options up here have long wait lists, are extremely selective, very picky with particular requirements and only accept students once every year or two. I'm open to moving just about anywhere as I've lived all over. Thanks!
  4. Hi, I am looking at accelerated 2nd degree BSN programs in several states (I'm currently in MN). One of the programs that I am possibly interested in is Winston-Salem State. I saw on the website that if you accept admission to their program you must sign a contract to work at North Carolina Baptist Hospital for three years upon completion of your degree. I am curious to hear if anyone could offer any insight into Winston-Salem State or North Carolina Baptist Hospital or just the prudence of entering into such a contract. Any advice or opinions or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
