  1. Enova, COT in May and then off to Keesler. (If I can finish out my BSN on time!) Honestly a little worried. All the paperwork I submitted said COT in Aug so I honestly though I had more time to get it done even though my projected graduation is in April.
  2. Conditionally selected for OR. Now I just have to finish out my BSN by May like projected!
  3. Same via my recruiter!
  4. So...I'm hoping that as soon as anyone hears anything about the Jan selection board they will post it here! Anyone else on here applied to the Jan board?
  5. Thanks Irfarmer! Hope you are right! I just have to get the Chief nurse interview and or nurse interview done and then it's a waiting game until the selection boards in January! :/ hope the time passes quickly!!!
  6. Irfarmer, that's great! Congrats!! This makes me a little more confident! Thank you! I've been an RN for 3 yrs and an OR nurse for 2 of those. I'm CNOR certified. And have experience circulating nearly all specialties (general, plastics, dental, ortho, ENT, neuro/spine, head and neck, hearing and balance, urology, peds, transplants, hearts, vascular, ob, GYN, eyes....I feel like I'm leaving some out but I think you get the idea) I really hope I get selected!
  7. Irfarmer, if you don't mind me asking, what's your OR experience like? How was the OR nurse interview? And was Eglin your top choice? Any other info you have that is OR unique? Im applying for January boards and I'm super nervous!
  8. irfarmer Did you apply for Oct or are you applying for Jan? I am applying for Jan as an OR nurse. Have you heard anything? Any news on how many slots are open for OR?
  9. Thanks for the tips! I'm trying to get all the paperwork together still...and working on my resume! It's pretty sucky right now! I really just want to be done with this part, but I know that the waiting until January is going to kill me! And then waiting to hear! Ugh! Hopefully I get it done quickly and then the time passes quickly! Best of luck with the selection board! Be sure to keep us all up to date here!
  10. I see! I'm putting my first application together for the January Selection board as a fully qualified nurse specialist (OR Nurse). Any tips for the application process, MEPS, ect?
  11. Servant-leader, what selection board are you applying to?
  12. So...is anyone else applying for the January selection board? I'm a fully qualified OR nurse looking to apply for the Jan selection. Questions: I was told by a recruiter that you don't go to MEPS now until after you are selected. Is this really the case? Did you all go to MEPS before your application was submitted to the selection board? Also, does anyone know how many slots for OR there is this FY?
  13. I am looking to take a job through Sterling Medical (out of Ohio). I was hoping someone might have some info on the company? Has anyone ever worked for them or know of someone who has? Any help/info is greatly appreciated!
  14. Travkitty, I'm doing the online RN-BSN Completion program. I think it's also referred to as FLEX.
  15. rkrs6673, I know this is an old thread, but i hope that you can give me a crash course on what to expect. Did you do online or onsite? And how did it all go? Which classes were the toughest? I'm registered for 12 hours of nursing classes this Fall and I worried about the course load. Any advice? Thanks in advance!
