  1. We document q6h but I have been checking this closer. When we print a strip directly from the monitor the st is documented in the text area. Wheb we print it from the history the st is not documented. Have you noticed this w your posted strips?
  2. I pay $25 PPP for a family plan which includes me and 4 children, but have about a $4000 annual deductable, 15$ copay for office visits. Found it often cheaper to have meds filled at Walmart than use the hospital pharmacy as they change a minimum of $10 for all scripts. I can get my Zantac for $6 a month at Walmart. Also Meijers (a local store similar to Walmart) fills many antibiotics for free and gives out free prenatal vits with a positive pregnancy test. That's relavant cause my 17 YO just told me I'll be a grandma again in 7 months.

When our ambulance service was hospital bases, we used paramedics in our triage. It has worked well. They helped ED out in their downtime this way. I took my children in several times, and was very happy with how well they triaged real emergencies from the misc ear aches, sprains etc. I took children in for things from airway issues due to allergic reactions to non-emergent sprains. The paramedics got it right every time.
  4. 1 I work in a 6 bed general ICU. I would label syringes with at least a piece of tape with the drug name, especially if it being hung as a secondary on a pump. Most of our meds are unit doses so they are labelled in little premade packages. We just don't open them til we get to the bedside 2)Can't help with the US questions as it doesn't apply, we don't have a machine, the tech brings it up each time from Radiology. 3)Our ED makes people wait (I think it is 1/2 hour) I have had my kids down there and I am sure it is apolicy they stick with.
