No they just have an RN program, and it is all daytime:( Some of their reps will tell you that you can take night/weekend classes, but they are only the core classes at around $2,000 each!! The same classes you could take at a community college for about $140 each while you are waiting to get in to the RN program.

paramedic-RN
Fairview Hospital near Cleveland, has a new program. I am not sure that they are even advertising it yet, and you can't find anything online about it. The director of the LPN program at LCCC's Medina campus, is in charge of this new Paramedic to RN progam at fairview. I have his phone number if you want it, PM me.

STNA Pay?
Hi! I previously spoke with a nursing home in Medina, they told me they paid nursing students and STNA's, about $10 per hour. Most offer shift diff. so you could get some extra pay by working 3rds. Let us know what happens!

Anyone know about Lorain CCC- LPN program (@ Medina Career Center?)
Also, where are you taking the CNA at? I am thinking about doing that while I wait to start the RN program.

Sounds like a great option. When I was looking at the program, they told me to apply ASAP before Jan. So I would apply as soon as you are done with your CNS class. They did tell me that sometimes they have spots open right before the Fall semester starts, so maybe you could even start this fall even though you have missed the deadline. They also told me that they will start nursing classes at the new LCCC Brunswick campus very soon. That is great, since I could almost walk to that campus!!

I LOVE it! I have taken classes in the past at Akron, Case, and Tri C. LCCC is by far the best in my opinion. My teachers are awesome! The only problem I have it their wait for the RN program. If you do not have every class done but clinicals, it is very hard get in the program. So that is why I am still taking support classes. I will be done this summer with support classes, and I will be going some where else if I am not in yet. I do not want to wait much longer! I do not think they have a wait for the LPN program at Medina, so you should be fine. Are you taking classes anywhere right now?

I heard it is great. I go to LCCC, but am still doing support courses for the RN program. You do have to live in Medina County, and already be a STNA or take a 3 week nurse aid course at LCCC (Elyria Campus) prior to applying. They only admit once per year (fall) and the application deadline is January for the following fall.

chamberlain college in columbus!
Thank you! Are you still happy that you made the choice to go to Chamberlain? I do not want to wait for our local college's to get an opening, so it is either Chamberlain or Bryant and Stratton. I am just leaning towards Chamberlain, because of the online courses. Thank you for your input!

Pnhopeful, I am starting the online ADN this summer. Just curious if you have been offered any jobs yet? Also, how was the clinical schedule? I live in the Cleveland area, so it is going to be a hike!

Hi! I know this is an old post, but wondering if you are done with program and if you still like it. Do you work at UH now as an RN? Just wondering, I have been taking all of my support courses waiting for a spot at LCCC, but am strongly condidering B&S or Chamberlain so I can start this summer. I would appreciate your input! Thanks!

What School to Choose?!?!?!!
Have you looked at Chamberlain's online program(ohio only). You would have to travel to Columbus 1 day per week (usually 1st shift) for clinical rotation, so I am not sure if you could do that. Other than the 1 full day in Columbus every week, everything else is online. I have 2 small children also, and getting a sitter for 1 day a week is a lot easier than 5 days per week to attend a traditional classroom program. I know Chamberlain has had some issues with their MO ADN program, but the Ohio program seems fine.

NIT in Cuyahoga Falls for LPN or RN?? or somewhere else??
Hi, I was looking in to this program as well, however they never called me back. Do you know what the tuition is? I am waiting to get in to LCCC, but may do Chamberlain's online program instead....
