RN to Paramedic Bridge Course
Hi Just finished the Creighton course it was excellent. Well run and well taught with helpful staff. It was good just to see what happens pre-hospital. It was quick but it wasn't cheap and unless you use it as an adjunct (flight) you are not going to make anymore money, but if its something you're interested in its worth it. The only other caveat is you've got to maintain it which can be a lot of education hours depending what state you're in.

Anchorage
Hi not sure if this thread is ongoing. I'm looking for some more info about Alaska Regional. Any help would be appreciated. I've been offered a position I'm just wondering what working conditions are like. If anyone has any specific complaints, compliments or pointers about the hospital they want to share and what the standard is for bonuses. Also wondering about neigborhoods to live in Anchorage any suggestions? Just need apartment in a quiet area. Again any help would be great. Thanks.

sure is quiet in here
Hello maybe my post was not clear. I am looking for relocation info not offering it. All I've been able to find out on other chat boards is: in the icu triples aren't uncommon but the people and locations are great, especially in the winter (but I suppose it may be different from a tennessee winter.) Small population too. Good luck. if you've got anything interesting to add please pass it on.

Is one state license better than another?
Canadian rn. Just did the nclex for Minnesota. Cost $105 good for 2 years and didn't need to send any info except college transcript. Got the results within 3 weeks. Price from state to state varies by as much as $80 and so does requirements from what I understand. endorsement from state to state can take a few weeks and cost $80+ depending on the state. Minnesota is apparently the easiest but as far as the nclex goes a pass is a pass. There's a site called http://www.geocities.com/hobonurse with some helpful info on it.Good luck
