  1. Thank you for taking your time to answers these questions.
  2. Hello, I am currently taking a course on nursing issues and informatics and I have a paper due. I was hoping to get some questions answered from people who are actually working in this field. 1. Where do you work? 2. What job qualifications are required for your position? 3. What are the education requirements? 4. Who makes the technology decisions? 5. How is clinicial nursing involved in technology related decisions? 6. Where do you see nursing informatics in the future? 7. What do you like best and least about working in your specialty? Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions
  3. Hello, I would like to get an idea of CRNA programs that accept ER experience. I am willing to relocate whatever it takes. Thanks for your help
  4. I have two interviews this week, one for ICU at a small community hospital and one for a Cardiac stepdown unit at a large teaching hospital (Loma Linda University Medical Center). I have about two years before I will be ready to apply to any CRNA programs, but if I am lucky enough to be offered both positions, I am not sure which one I should take. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks
  5. My long-term goal is to become a CRNA, I just started my BSN online, so I probably still have about 2 years before I start applying to CRNA programs. I have two interviews this week. One is for ICU in a small community hospital and one is for Cardiac step down unit at a large teaching hospital with a great reputation (Loma Linda University Medical Center). I know I need at least one year of ICU, so do I take the ICU position at the small community hospital or go for the Cardiac step down position at the larger hospital? Each position would be a one year commitment. Thanks for any advice.
  6. Thanks so much for your response. I went through the stickies at the beginning of the forum and found some very useful information. This is an awesome site. It is great to have a place that nurses can come together and support each other. I wish I had discovered this forum when I first started nursing school.
  7. Hello Everyone, I am new to things forum. I am so glad that I ran across it. In Febuary I will be starting a NICU internship (6 months). I graduate in December and will have a couple of months and I wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions about reading material or advice about what I could do in the mean time to be better prepared in February. Thanks, C.Dixon
