2nd, start clinical in the fall.

i'm doing distant education right now. it works just fine!!!! i was hesitant at first. it's must more laid back than being with the "big class". my instructors seem to like it to. they're always open to questions on the speaker. one can even recognize our voices over the speaker, and there's 140something of us. you do have to have discipline though. our lectures are recorded, and it's tempting to watch them later. not good if you have ADD/ADHD either. if you're a decent student, then i don't think it matters if you're on site or off site. my site started with 14 students, and we're all still there and still passing. i see it's been a while since y'alls posts and no one responded....so i hope this helps!!

i am actually attending TWU at the moment, and do not feel the same way you do at all!!! i am completely satisfied with my decision to attend there, and i have no regrets. if i had to choose again, i would choose TWU. i initially thought they were just interested in admitting a lot of students and taking all their money. but after interviewing, i felt different. my instructors are ALWAYS available. i've never had to wait over 24 hours for an e-mail response (usually 4 hrs). they offer home numbers, cell numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.... so sorry you had a bad experience, but i don't want to discourage future students. good luck with your career.

i agree with the above post. i had 3.3 gpa and 1050 gre and got interviews everywhere i applied.

wake9909 my interview on friday with tcu was very similiar. there were 5 people, 2 female, 3 males. they asked me all the same questions they asked you. no clinical component. towards the end she asked me if i got excited about anything. i told her "of course, why do you ask?" she said i just seemed so laid back and down to earth. i guess i wasn't nervous. my response the her was that i've learned in life to take things in stride and that i know that god has a plan for my life, and there decision of whether they wanted me or not was out of my control. i told her i couldn't change who i was to give them a certain impression of me. she looked shocked when i finally shut-up, pleasantly shocked though. i was also told i would hear something this weekend about possibly starting the dnp track on monday, haven't heard yet. been accepted elsewhere, kinda torn. any advise?

i interviewed at TCU on friday and i thought it went very well. they told me 35 names were already being considered for the DNP tract, mine was one of them, and 20 were being accepted. they said they would be meeting all day on friday and making decisions. then they would call me this weekend. haven't heard anything yet. i'll post when i do either way.
