  1. Hi LPNstudentgrad209 I want to ask you a few questions regarding this program at coler-goldwater - How did you apply for the program? Did you have to go to the hospital directly to apply or if you call their number, do they send you the application form? I tried to look for more information on this program on-line, but it seems as if on-line resources are quite limited. Also I have a bachelor's degree in a field other than nursing. Would having college education disqualify me from entering this program? It seemed as if this program was designed to take in high school grads only, so I don't know if having a college degree might affect one's qualification to be enrolled.. Lastly, I heard that this program is for low-income NYC residents. I am low income - actually unemployed for the last few years, therefore I have not filed any taxes. If so, then how am I going to prove that I do indeed fall into the low income category if I do not have any W2 or whatever you call the income tax forms available? Do they actually ask for your tax forms or whatever else that might serve as a proof that you are at low income level? Sorry for throwing a bunch of questions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! -Ashblue
  2. Hello, I just wanted to ask you all - just how much effort does one need to put in to beocome a lpn? I mean would it be possible to go to school full time and do some part time job at the same time, or is the school workload so heavy that one shouldn't really try to both (school + work) at once? I would love to become lpn, but I cannot afford not to work at all during the process of studying and besides I am afraid that I might eventually give up on studies if the workload and stress are too much for me to handle. I have given up on school in the past at a four year college in my senior year because of stress that I was getting from school and other life matters in general and I don't want to make the same mistake again.. Would you guys please kindly share your experiences? Thank you!! -desparate
