  1. Perhaps, because we lack family support and involvement. I remember in high school it was like a race to see which girl got pregnant first, such horrible memories. When I was striving for high education they tried to make me feel bad I wasn't interesting in relationships. Who do we really blame for this? I think we all have the power to chose and fight for what we dream on day we would become. I'm currently working 3 days and at nursing school 4 days. And yes you guessed it, No kids. I can never blame teachers, society, councelors, parents, or any one. we have to become responsible. " camaron que se duerme se lo lleva la corriente"
  2. after 33 days wait I finally can say I PASSED NCLEXPN! thanks everyone!!!

THANK YOU VERY VERY VERY MUCH EVERYONE! Believe it or not this makes me feel soo much better. Not to say That i will slack off, but every single reply makes alot of sense. I think I just felt like alittle panicky. Especially when my instructor never taught anything she just threw us out there. I know I am responssible for my actions but I thought instructors were more out there on the floor with you. I used to think sooooo bad of my teacher but now i really think other people have it worst... thanks again! and ZanatuBelmont we will be fine! because we come out and have the will to learn unlike other nurses that just cheat their way out!
  13. My "lovely" teacher has teacher's pets...3 to be exact. One of them (who is from her country of origin) had the nerve to say " she will not let me fail" Ohhh goshhhh there's been soo many times i wanted to cry because this teacher would even give them THE TEST we were going to take that week. EVEN bring it to clinicals. Oh man oh man! It's sooo frustrating when she thinks none of us notice it, but during scoring she would say " EVERYONE" passed....and look at a certain someone in obvious signs that student fail but she was not gona let it happen. I thought to myself, this is not my problem....but it just affects the way your mind functions in such a bad way.
  14. Hi, I'm in the top of the mountain and wonder if this is really what everyone sees. first of all, I graduate in a month. Feel what I was exposed to in clinical rotations wasn't enough. I NEVER * suction a pt * never did a indwelling Foley, but i practiced in a dummy and saw how it was done * Gave care to a burnt patient * inserted an Ng tube, but i practiced with a dummy I can go on with other minor things but it leaves me with a BIG QUESTION (in which i think about everytime after clinical) IS THIS IT? WHAT DOES A EMPLOYER EXPECTS YOU TO KNOW? I have such a incompetent feeling about this. I'm actually the type of person that is hard working, and i will most definitely pay attention when you are teaching me a skill. I just don't want to look like I...don't know how to do things a new grad should know. thanks for reading
  15. we didnt get our medical terms until...may be 3 months after we started the program. It took like 4 months to try and survive to become 15 student class as we are now. however we were left without knowing anything. A&P....for my classmates was something to act like "whatever" because the teacher didnt even covered 4 systems!!!! Im sooo proud of you! and try to make A&P as enjoyful as you can. It really isnt a pain. I wasnt affected by my teacher not teaching ANYTHING AT ALL of A&P because i took anatomy and physiology as a pre-req in a community college. do your best!
