I had a interview for the ADN Mount Saint Marys College ADN program Spring/2009 MSMC
Luckygirl All I can say to you is this. If you are desperate to start a RN program then by all means due it. But if they lose their accredidation then we are all screwed. The admin office is never gonna own up to it when u call. Just pull it the passing rate for MSMC adn for the past 2 years. Its not good at all. So thats why we fear of Accredidation being gone. Classes start in about a 1 1/2 and I am so dreading it. And we dont even have our schedules yet. So if you wanna deal with the stress of nursing school and a messed admin. power to u. Just want you to look at all other options before u consider doing the MSMC program. If you decide to go there, then see ya around.

To all on this thread: I agree with the last post. Keep applying to Community Colleges. This school is so unorganized in their admin. Yes their teachers are good, but they are also students and working nurses, so as a student we take a back seat to them. If you really want to go to this school, then apply for the BSN at Chalon campus, it is better there. Dont waste your money for this ADN program at Doheny campus. The NCLEX scores are horrible and we are all scared about losing accredidation.

Mount St. Mary ADN - Fall 2008
Hello everyone on this thread I am currently a student at MSMC for ADN and all the waiting you have been talking about is what its gonna be like for the next 2 years. The admin is horrible. The teachers are great. I would recommend to u all to keep applying to community colleges. This college has a good reputation for some of the hospitals in LA. But if you liked being tugged around like you have been waiting to see if you get in then nothing is going to change. I would recommend you apply for the BSN at Chalon campus. Doheny still has a lot of work to do to their infrastructure on admin. Its not worth the $45,000. If I wasnt so invested already in the program, I would leave.

Move to FL for schooling ?
I am originally from Florida and moved to Cali a while back.. I applied for RN programs in Cali for about a 1-1/2 years and finally got in. I also applied at the Commuity Colleges back home in Florida. I would recommened u to go to Florida. Its easier to get in. Valencia and Seminole Colleges are bothe good. Also FCCJ (which is in Jacksonville) is good also. But make sure that these colleges are gonna take your pre-req. I took my pre-reqs in Florida and had to re-take some to apply for Cali schools. If I could go back to Florida for school I would. Good Luck!! You have to do it. You will like Orlando and Miami is not far or Tampa to party.
