  1. Hi Penny, Thanks for replying. Interview went good... We'll see! I had connections there too, kinda. Seems like a good place.. liked the women interviewing me. :) I didn't know they had a new grad program there... what happened with that? Hope things went well!!
  2. Hi all, I am a new grad and have an interview at St Rose: Hayward on Tues in the Emergency Dept. I have only been in the area for a few years (in nursing school) so i don't really know much about the place. If any one has any info on the working conditions, pay scale, etc I would sincerely appreciate it. And interview tips are always nice, too. :) Trying to rest my nerves.... Thanks!
  3. Hey. I am attending the same program come aug 20th, too. I've talked to a couple of the people who just finished the first year and they say it's hard but doable. They've agreed that there seems to be a general lack of support from staff, so it's a do-it-yourself kinda program. I've already started reading the fundamentals book to try to get a head-start. It's certainly going to be overwhelming, but I think we can do it! Can't hurt to have a positive attitude. :wink2: Good luck and probably see you soon!
  4. Hey Lucky; Thanks for the reply.. Yeah, i've been hearing how difficult it is here. Can you tell me anything that you learned along the way that might help me? I'm sorry you have to move to Denver but it's a great place to live. Is it more difficult to get into a bachelor's program than an associate? Any help is always greatly appreciated!! thanks again~
  5. Hi all, New here and to nursing. Looking to get into Merritt community college. Close and the price is appealing.. Is this the only school in the area for an ADN? I'm also new to California and am trying to get my bearings.. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks! :nuke:
