No you don't need a laptop. A rolling backpack is a great thing to get though to carry all the books! :)

My friend is currently in the RN program at South Campus, graduating in Dec '09 and loves it. She said Central Campus is horrible for the RN program and that most people recommend South or North. She loves it at South though. I had another friend who did the online program at Central and said it was terrible. She is now starting the LPN-RN program at South in May '09 and is super excited. Based on what I've read on here and the people I know I wouldnt go to Central. But that is completely up to you. Hope this helps! :)

I am in the part time program at McFatter Tech in Davie. I go from 5pm-10pm, M T and Th. The part time program takes 21 months to complete compared to 12 months if you go full time, 8am-2pm M-Th or 2pm-10pm M-Th. I dont mind the extra time that it takes for the part time program because I work full time. I just finished Term 1A and am in Term 1B now. I think the part time program is the perfect time and pace if you work and cant go full time. But if you dont work or have a flexible schedule and you can do the full time program than go for it, that would be great too. McFatter is the only technical school out of the 3 (Sheridan, Atlantic, McFatter) that offers a part time program. The other 2, including McFatter all offer full time programs. If you are planning to do the part time program at McFatter, the next program starts in October 2009. I would go to the school and meet with the counselor and find out all you need to do and get started and finished ASAP that way you can get a seat in the program. Hope this helps! :)

ladymahogany- I really like the program. I feel like I'm learning alot. Its alot of reading but its not too horribly hard. I'm enjoying myself there. My classmates are super nice too. :) darklight-I started in January too. Are you full time or part time?
