  1. Thats great!! Did he happen to say anything about Family? Why did he call you - had you called him before?
  2. I think it was Rachel Maldonado - let me know if you talk to someone. What is your plan B?
  3. I did apply to DePaul, was accepted, and have accepted my spot in their program. If UIC accepts me, I will back out of DePaul (and lose $350 matriculation fee), and attend UIC. If not, I will be starting DePaul in September. DePaul has been super responsive and timely throughout the whole process...the only downside is their price tag.
  4. I know -I worried that I may have given them the wrong number too! You are right that this does reflect some irresponsibility on the part of the school - at least keep the students informed. I had the same problem with my application to Rush; I busted my butt to get my application in to them and they told me for months that they could not even find my materials! I got accepted to their program but am turning them down based, in part, on the disorganization I experienced with the school. Hopefully UIC will get their act together and tell us something SOON.
  5. No, she didn't say. I let her know that he was the one who let us know we should hear by last Friday, but she wouldn't say anything.
  6. Yeah - I thought of that too. If they told us we would have had a response by the end of last week and we are going to be rejected I would assume they would have just sent us the email by Friday, right? I am hoping they just have not yet made up their minds about those of us waiting, or they have not figured out exactly when they want to host the interviews.
  7. I called Chris also and got nothing. I did speak with a woman from that same department who said that she could not give me any specific information but that every specialty makes their decisions different days. She said just to keep hoping for a phone call, otherwise I should receive an official rejection letter in the mail. She seemed surprised that we were all told that we would have a response via email last week. Basically I got no answers and no new info, so I guess we just keep waiting...
  8. Well, I am FNP - but I still have not heard either.
  9. If they are that swamped with applications, you would think they would all be in the office trying to process them - not MIA...
  10. Yes, I am a little upset as well. I do not understand how the office can be closed, or the people in charge of the program can be off until Monday when so many students were waiting for today to come.
  11. Anyone out there who is staring in September in DePaul's MENP?? Also, are there any current MENP students who could give insight into the actual program - schedules, homework, difficulty?? I look forward to some responses!
  12. I applied to the FNP program and have not heard anything yet. I, too, called Chris OCampo and got a voice message that said he would be out until Monday. I saw that one person got an interview request from FNP - any others out there???
  13. Yeah, thanks for all of the information. I, too, found out that I was accepted today to Rush. I still am pretty torn about Rush or DePaul. Does anyone have firsthand information about DePaul's program?
  14. What kind of hours each day are you in class? How many hours each day do you study/do homework?
  15. You sound like you are happy with your choice?? Have you worked at all while in the program? I know the school tells you not to, but only a student of the program would really know if it's feasible.
