BigPerm

I am 23 year old caucasian male and have a bump on my chest that I am worried about. I have fair skin and burn really easy. I have had it for a few years now and always assumed it was a scar or something because it never appeared to get any bigger or be spreading, untill recently it appears to have gotten a bit bigger after a zit/pimple appeared on it. It is skin tone/pinkish in colour, with no bleeding or signs of infection except for getting the odd zit/pimple or ingrown hair on it and it is kind of a hard, smooth oval shaped bump about that has rounded edges and is roughly the size of my baby fingernail. There are times when it seems to get irritated and swells a bit, and turns reddish in colour but it goes down and returns back to its normal size/colour. It also is itchy sometimes. If I can remember back that far I think there was a zit/pimple there to start and that formed after. I am going to have a doctor check it out ASAP but I was hoping that someone could offer me some information. Could it be a Keloid or other skin growth?
