New Jurisprudence Exam
Hello all! I recently graduated in PA and am moving to Houston suburbs where I found a job. Last week I purchased the study guide for the jurisprudence test from the Texas BON. I went through it one day and took the test the next day and passed with no problems. Personally, I didn't think the study guide was much help...it did however show how to find laws etc on the BON website. The test wasn't too hard and didn't take up too much time. Just use common sense and take your time.

Houston BSN/ADN nursing programs
My fiance is wanting to go to school for nursing starting in the fall. We will be living in Spring, Texas. He has some credits from before he joined the Navy and some from while he was in the Navy that may cover his general education classes. Does anyone have any recommendations on what colleges and by when he needs to apply? Also, I've read on here about long waiting lists for the nursing programs. Is this true for all of the colleges down there?

Has anyone relocated as a GN to Texas?
I started applying to the hospitals in and around the Houston/Conroe area. After reading a lot of the posts on here, it seems discouraging as a GN around those areas. Not only will I be starting out as GN but I will also be relocating from PA. I was wondering if anyone has started as a GN after relocated to the Houston area? I am very nervous due to only being down there for the opportunity to interview over my Spring Break in March. I will be graduating in May and really need to land a job ASAP.

Relocating to Conroe as a GN
What about any hospitals anywhere in between Conroe and Houston? I just know I want to be somewhere near Conroe. Thanks for the input so far.

Relocating to Conroe as a GN
Hello all! I was wondering if you could help me out a bit. I currently live in PA and am planning to relocate to the Conroe area in May. I will be a fresh GN and am looking for places to apply. Some of the posts I have read on here look kind of gloomy. I plan to still try to apply to the major Houston hospitals to try to get an internship, however I would like to keep my options open so I am not left without a job. Could you recommend some specific hospitals in the Conroe area that are GN friendly? Also, I have never heard of the HESI. After researching it, it looks like something you guys take in college down there. If I am from PA do I still have to take it? Thank you in advance for your help :)
