I'm taking the NET on 4/16 at sac. Good luck to both of you! I heard that the study guide was pretty right on with the actual test. The reading is the harder of the two sections. I say that we stay in touch on here through the application process. How far are you all in the application process? July 1st will be here before you know it!

I just started my search as well a few months ago. I have a BS from Sac State and wanted to go back to get my RN. From what I've found, private schools are the best way to go - you get in and out the fastest! Granted they are more expensive, but the wait list is so ridiculously long for public schools (both JC and CSU/UC). I've been reading alot of the threads here on this site and some people have been waiting for years to get into public school programs. Check out Samuel Merritt. That is where I'm planning on going! Hopefully I'll get into their ABRN program in Jan 2010. It's 12 months and your out. Do a search for Samuel Merritt on here and you'll get alot of good info. Let me know if you need anything else! I'm planning on applying to the 2010 ABRN program at the Sac campus. Have you taken the NET yet? I start at Sac City next week to refresh some courses considering it has been awhile since I've been in school - graduated in '03 from Sac State. I met with Liza this week and she said that everything looked good for me! I'm excited!!! The wait is going to be interesting though, I hope it's not too long.

I'm actually getting ready to apply to the ABRN program for 2010. I just met with a counselor on Monday and mapped everything out. I'm retaking a couple of classes since it's been awhile - graduated from Sac State in '03. I'm also looking at the FNP program as a back up too. I ordered the NET study guide today. I'm so excited!!! I love reading these posts. I just met with a counselor for the Sacramento ABRN program. I am hoping to get in and start in January of next year. Any advice for someone a year out from starting and going through the whole application process? Thanks!!!

I have a BS in Healthcare Admin already and I'm looking into the accelerated 2nd bachelor's in nursing at Sac State and a private college, Samuel Merritt. Does anyone have any feedback on these programs or have been through either one of them? What's the difference between attending a public school or private school? Thanks for any help! Monica
