Thanks everyone... Sorry that I didn't get back for so long. I have been so busy, but I made it through the first week. Yay!!! So much to do but I'm so excited. Still very nervous about skills but that will go away with practice. Thanks again for all the well wishes. I love this site because of all the support.

Well, I got accepted into the Fall nursing program and I start in 2 weeks. I have NEVER been so nervous in all my life. I hope this is normal. Went to orientation, where they told us that in the first week 38 chapters are assigned for reading and the work load is tremendous. I am a straight A student or I should say thus far, but I am scared as hell that it will be too much. Is this normal?? I am excited, I just don't want to fail and let everyone down.... Well I got my denial letter....I did not get in. The 34 points was not enough but I was put on stand-by. I just have to decide if I want to stay on it or re-apply for next year. how did everyone else do?

I had 34 points and I passed the TEAS requirements, but I was disappointed with how I did. I had the flu and had to sit there for 4+ hrs with a fever, coughing and runny nose.... oh well at least I passed, I was just hoping that I would have high scores in all subjects to help if I lacked points compared with everyone else... The waiting is killing me. In orientation, someone told me that they have tried for 3 years and 2 other people said that this was there 2nd time applying. I talked to some of the people that were at my TEAS testing and they had 36-38 points because of previous BA degrees. Good times.... we just have to keep our fingers crossed!

Does anyone know when the acceptance/denial letters come out for BCC cocoa applications? I am so anxious to see if I got in or not. I applied to the Cocoa program for this fall, I wish I knew what the average person had for points. :up:Good luck to everyone! ~Brigette

You did great! I am so nervous to take it. When I asked the advisor that question she said that she could not tell me for this year but she knows that it will be in the mid 30's , my friend only had 26 and they told her that was not enough and even if she improved to 29 points that probably will not be either, but she would not be concrete about it. Have you talked to an advisor yet?

hey. i will have 34 points and the advisor said that still might not be enough and that i needed to make sure that my teas scores are high. that alone makes me nervous because i get test anxiety :eek:and do not always test so well. have you taken the teas yet? if so how was it? ~brigette

I am also finishing my prereqs and will be applying in March for the cocoa campus program. I went and spoke with the health advisor today and with only 34 points she said that may not be enough and I should try to get the highest TEAS score possible just in case of a tie. I am freaking out because waiting another year to get accepted will upset me but if I have to wait, I will just continue working on my AA. I wish I knew the best study guide for the TEAS.
