  1. Royal blue top & pants, yuck!
  2. I honestly don't understand how they were calculating points because all of you girls got higher numbers on the waiting list at Century, yet I got in fall semester? Doesn't make sense..
  3. yay! Congrats to you Lukeslichy!!!!! I know we have all really worked hard for this!! I gotta say that was one terrifying walk from the mail box back to my apartment!!!
  4. I got in for fall semester!!! Second happiest day of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Will tomorrow be THE day...??????!!!?!
  6. The minimum hours needed is 480 hours (3 months full time work) but if you have over 960 hours (6 months full time work) you get extra points.
  7. haha! I am sure she is getting calls and e-mails up the ying-yang!
  8. I just called her today too, she said "I will "try" and have them out by the end of the week." Uhh this is so frustrating!!
  9. HAHA Dedsxy, I actually said that a few days ago! "I wasn't even this nervous to give birth!!" hahaha! I really have no idea what I am going to do until I read that paper, this is so annoying. Our date changes three times... first it was March 1, April 1 and now April 15. Seriously they should have just said "mid-April" to begin with.. this wait wouldn't have been half as bad...
  10. Qwinlyn: Last year I applied at Inver with no work experience and in the process of finishing Micro, Medical Dosages and Goal 6 and got alternate #226. So I got a job at White Pine Senior Living in Inver Grove Heights, they will hire you with or without your CNA, and i'm pretty sure if you are employed with them long enough they will do tuition re-imbursement for the class and possibly the test. But then again, if they hire you without it and you work 480+ hours before the next application deadline that would count for experience. Impatientlywaiting: Thanks for the update on Inver, I just wish they would get here before mid-April! Especially since fall classes are now enrolling students! Its tough because we could hear three different answers that all have different end results; we get in fall, or spring semester, or not at all. Uhh this is frustrating! People keep telling me "Good things come to those who wait." **Does anyone know if Inver is allowing 50 Fall and 60 Spring... or 60 Fall and 50 Spring?**
  11. Got my letter from Century today, I am #128 on the alternative list. Big bummer but I am still crossing my fingers for Inver Hills.. ahhh!!!!
  12. Well, at least we know it will be sometime within the next two weeks! My fingers are crossed for all of us!!
  13. They said they are not done and it's gonna be awhile yet..
  14. I am going to call the school on Friday and see when the letters are being mailed out. I'll let ya know!!
  15. AHH!!! We're "suppose" to hear from Inver by THIS FRIDAY, I am soooo nervous!!! :redbeathe
  16. I contacted Sherry Hegstrom from Century College. She said "We expect selection results letters to be ready for mailing by mid-April. Please feel free to contact me if you have other questions." I also asked her if I was included in their selection process because I hadn't heard anything from them. Here is her e-mail, [email protected]
  17. I wish I did!!! I think that because the 1st is a Friday, so they wouldn't send anything out over the weekend, so I hope by Monday they can get them out. I'm pretty sure they sent them out on a Monday last year and I got mine Tuesday. (I didn't get in last year)
  18. The wait is killing me too.. I have a feeling that they will send out the letters on Monday April 4 and then we will get them on the 5th.
  19. I e-mailed Suzy Merkling and asked her a couple questions. As of yesterday she said she has 200 more applications to look over, then they will be putting people in order and sending out information to let us know of our status, once we are accepted then they call and verify our employment and hours worked. She said don't stress too much because it could be anywhere from April 1-15! (I pray we don't have to wait until the 15!!) I wish I would have asked her how many people applied, I figure if they still have 200 to do there must have been a lot of applicants! Good luck to us!
  20. I ended up e-mailing Century College, they said their letters would be out by mid April. So someone said they got their letter of acceptance this week... I haven't received anything from Inver Hills. Maybe they got the letter that said they were included in the selection process and just misread it. Either way I am going to check my mail box right now! haha! If I hear anything I will update everyone, please do the same! **April 1 is 2 weeks from today, our wait is almost over!!** (Checked my mail, no letter)
  21. I feel more nervous than ever! I contacted Inver Hills and asked them if we would be informed of our acceptance on March 1 or April 1 and they said "Due to the large number of last minute applicants they pushed the date back to April 1." I'm very disappointed that my count down was down to 2 weeks and now it's back up at 6 weeks! Hearing "Large number of last minute applicants" really freaked me out and now I'm trying to come up with some kind of "back up" plan.
  22. Well good luck to you! It would be wonderful if we both got in! I feel the same way, I just want one of the schools accept me!! I have been trying to figure out a back up plan, maybe St. Catherine..? I know it's much more expensive but I don't think I have many other options. Well, Inver said we would know by March 1, so that's less than 3 weeks away.. this waiting period is literally killing me!! (and I wish Century would hurry up and send us something!!)
  23. MaxsMomma: The "included in the selection process" just means I have met the minimum requirements to apply. Congrats on graduating! lukeslichy: I have all the liberal arts classes finished with a 3.4 GPA and a science GPA of 3.25. I have all the work experience as a CNA. I am so nervous!! Which two classes are you finishing up? Did you get your letter from Inver saying you're included in the selection process? halkogirl: ohh my gosh that's a long time to wait!! What did your grades look like when you applied? Do you remember what number you got? I haven't even received an e-mail or letter telling me I am in the selection process at Century, the women told me they are behind like 2 weeks!
  24. Good luck! I am nervously awaiting my acceptance letter too...
