venipuncture is pretty fun...ive stuck myself many time...including my feet wich I highly reccomend that you dont do that...it kinda hurts....but not as bad as I thought...i love going for hard and deep veins....nothing like a good challenge and I was usually 100% on target on all of them.......ego boost off now!

I went to one of those about a month ago for a phlebotomist postion....and the ad clearly stated in the paper you only needed 2 years experience....i was like cool....im qualified. I get down there....wait for about 1 1/2 hours in line....walk up to the recruiter when i was called....he loooked at my resume and said..."oh...you need 5 years experience for the program that they were hiring for" then he proceeded to tell me to come back in a month and talk to him. Needless to say I was furious.....wasted all that time for 20 seconds of rejection. They were hiring for thier Winter Program...and they were paying EXTREMELY well. So my guess is that they wanted to me come back AFTER the program started so they didnt have to pay me the salary they were advertising. Sorry for hijacking your thread...had to get it off my chest i suppose. So what was your question again????

OK...I have a couple of questions about becoming a RN. I have decided that I do want to go to a nusring program, but I cant decide wether or not to get my LVN license first and work up from there. 1 year to get your LVN license, work and get familiar with everything...or just go straight for the RN license in 2 years. Right now in my situation, I definately have to work full-time to pay rent,child-support...etc. I cant decide what to do. Would it be wise to get my LVN first and then go back for another year of school and get my RN? Or is getting the RN license better to do it all at once? Also im in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area, and was wondering the starting pay for LVN's. Any help would be appreciated!!!
