  1. I'm sorry CVICU_RN, you make a valid point. I apologize. I was not too clear on the last statement. When I said profession, I did not mean to limit this terminology to just the subspecialty nursing anesthesia. I meant the whole Nursing Profession. "So in what ways could you contribute to the future of the nursing profession?" "What is your future potential, and how will you give back to the nursing profession and the community?" Why should you be trained as a master's level educated nurse? Why you and not someone else? Look deep I'm sure you'll find that answer. Do some soul searching about your personal strengths, dreams, and your definition of your role as a nurse. If you need help please PM me. Believe me, this will give you an edge on the competition. I feel it's a small part of what got me in. I just got accepted to Virginia Commonwealth - Fall 2009!
  2. The secret is to be proactive and SELL yourself. Conclude your interview by summarizing WHY they should accept you. What have you done to make yourself a strong candidate? What do you bring to the program? What do you bring to the future of the profession?
  3. I'm interested in getting my CRNA DNP. What programs offer a DNP program? Is there a program that allows you to attain a DNP bridge degree while you work on your Master's CRNA degree?
