  1. Hi, I am currently a high school student (10th grade) trying to plan my transition from high school to college & i am looking for some advice/input/recommendations. I am so sure that I want to become a nurse! The past 6 months or so I've been doing a lot of research on colleges & have only found one that i am particularly interested in, Hunter. I'm attracted to it for many reasons (public, good reviews, located in the city ...) but, i need more options! I'm really afraid that it'll end up being the only college i apply to & won't get accepted! Can anyone recommend me some school that are in NYC (particularly in Manhattan or Queens) that are public (for low costs) & have good nursing programs. For now I am mainly focused on getting my BSN & becoming a registered nurse, then I would like to go for my masters. Also I was wondering if there are any nurses currently living in Manhattan that could tell me about the cost of living & some good areas for housing. I've always loved Manhattan & although I do not currently live there right now I'd really love to move there one day. I'm not sure if I should even be this worried about college right now as I'm only a sophomore in high school, but I feel like if I don't decide these things now I never will or will at least have great difficulties doing so, or even worse, try to rush through these decisions! thank you :)
  2. thank you ghillbert! i tried doing some more research and i think i'm all good now =]
  3. Hi, I'm currently a high school student in the U.S. and i plan on becoming a registered nurse (and furthering my studies to get a masters in administration after i get my bachelors degree) after i graduate. I've been doing a lot of research on nursing as a career and i'm very adamant on studying and living in Australia, i was hoping someone on the forum could help me find information about universities with nursing programs and especially information about fees for education & general cost of living there & also if anyone could possibly tell me if it would be worth it to obtain citizenship in australia once i've completed my studies (i've heard that australia is in need of more nurses, so what harm could i cause? )
