LPN Starting Salary
I was browsing on the Internet last night looking at LVN job listings. This is in So Cal...and I came across a listing from Kaiser Permanente and they're hiring LVN's for $25/hr. This is a 12 hour shift too, so that 25/hr will add up quick. Not bad!

Anyone heard of Career Networks Institute (CNI)
Anyone heard of Career Networks Institute? permalink Hey all, I've tried searching the forums high and low with no success. I'm trying to decide on which Vocation school to attend here in Orange County. So far, I'm looking at Concorde, American Career College, Stanbridge, etc. What I'd like to know is if anyone has actually attended CNI and can give me their experience with it? I want to look into them as part of my search, but I find it strange how I can't find any information about students attending their program. The school is actually accredited by the State, etc. Just weird how no one has gone there. I'm not going to be interested if I have no clue about the school's past history regarding their students. Here is their website: www.cnicollege.edu Thanks all. p.s. I also posted this thread in the California section, but I know more LVN's browse this section, so I'm hoping there are LVN's out there from California that can give me some insight about this.

Enrolling in Concorde *PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!*
This is the only part that has me worried. I have high confidence in the Interview and the English/Grammar part of the test, but I have no idea how the Math is going to be like.

Enrolling in Concorde *PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!*
Hey everyone, I was just wondering how the Entrance Exam is like? I heard the Math exam is pretty basic, but I've been out of High School more than a few years...and we all know how that goes. Basically, I haven't done Math since and have forgotten even the simple formulas. And to think, Math was one of my favorite subjects in High School and did rather well in it, got A's and B's in Alg/Trig II and Geometry. Is there any way I can better prepare for this? I'm sure I haven't completely forgotten them, but I just need a little refresher to remind me of what I've been missing out on. Someone mentioned that they administered the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) in the Los Angeles area. Can anyone that attended Concorde, American Career College, Stanbridge, etc...give me a brief and/or detailed rundown of what this basic Exam consists of? I'm assuming they're similar. Please help me, my interview is soon and I'm trying my best to prepare for this. Thank you for your time, and I hope the great members of AllNurses.com can give me some information.

About to enroll...PLEASE HELP *questions about entrance*
Hey all, I'm just now getting ready to enroll in a Vocational School for their LVN/LPN program. I am 25 years old. I was just wondering, how is the entrance/admissions like at these Vocational schools? I heard I have to go through an interview and possibly take one of those admission tests? Can anyone give me more information on how the interview is like...what sort of questions they ask, and what type of test will be administered? As you can see by my age, I've been out of High School for 7 years. My grammar is up to par, I have no worries about that, but I've practically lost any/all information regarding Math. And to think, Math was one of my favorite subjects in High School. Any tips on how I can prepare? I did well in Algebra/Trig and with fractions in High School, but now I cannot remember the formulas for the life of me. Please help. If you can give a brief and/or detailed summary of how your entrance/admissions went, I'd appreciate it. I understand there are some older students that have enrolled in the past, how did you do on the Entrance/Admissions? Thanks all, I really hope you can help me out. This is the only part of enrolling that has me worried.
