I know what they are doing isn't right or so it seems to me but I think if I started up the quiting part even if just for a short while I am afraid that I would not go back. I really want to futher my career I wish I had just looked at more schools instead of just this one and went in blind not knowing anything about schools. I will keep everyone updated on my carrer choice when I figure it all out. Thank you for all who posted!

Thank you to all who have responded. And about the money at this school LOAN money goes first then grant money. I am having a hard time just up and quiting because I "and this is a family history here" come from a bad family. I quit high school when I was 17 and left home at 18. Met my husband after I left home and had kids. Just went back in Nov of last year and got GED and went straight into this school. I am tring to break a bad habit of quiting because that is all I have known. I have never finished anything I have started until my GED. This is a real tough choice I have to make and I know I have to do it soon. Thank you to all I will let you know what I decide.

I know but I hate to quit something I have started. Maybe I should tell you the whole money thing...I have grant money that I don't have to pay back so in the end the school is only getting about 15 thousand from me. the rest is money is from government and other grants from other places. Now knowing this would you go on and finish because in the long run it is still 15 out of my pocket they use loan money first or start over somewhere else?

Hi all thank you for your comments. My total cost for this school will be over 28 thousand dollars. What I did was put in my app for MTSU but they need my shot record and no one has it. I called the health dept in my hometown they have it but won't let me purchase a copy d/t me not getting shots there. It is looking like I have to finish up here... But I have a plan I am going to finish it up then go on back for my radiology degree and then add ultra sound tech degree on there as well. Any comments about this or would you somehow do it different?

Ty I finish up this year next week and I just got my paper in the mail today for MTSU and have filled it out. I will call the hospital tomorrow and check this out. I was thinking the same thing but man I hate to lose 15000 dollars and really didn't learn much. What a waste of good money.

I know this site is for nurses but I want to be a nurse one day in the near future so just wanted to see what is being said. I do have a question though. Here goes : I just finished my 1st year in my 2 year degree in MA. I just started to hear that this is a poor choice d/t the fact that we can't get jobs cause the MA degree is a scam. Is this true and I would hate to have to quit with only a year left and 15000 into it. I really just got into this program because the LPN program here was full for the next two years. My long term plan is to finish this get a job no matter the pay ,seeing as I don't work now , just to get into the field. Then on to RN hopefully. Any thoughts would be great TY.
