  1. I totally didn't realize it's really online office hours. How does it work? Do they answer questions via chat? or the ones you type to them?
  2. We might be in the same group... V's??
  3. Right on there. Just don't add the members who don't make the effort to do anything. They get a failing grade for that assignment, and that might put a fire under their rear ends. We are all nurses in this program. I figured that when we started, and would all have a level of professionalism. We had one member who had family issues, and still had his assignment in by Friday noon. We only started with 4 members. For those who are not happy, make sure you fill out the evaluation at the end of the semester.
  4. I will be happy with my 4 members are reading about some of the groups. I go through the video and type word for word in the breakdown what the teacher asks for specifically. And put that in a word document with our breakdown so each member can see it and make sure those things are included.
  5. We don't count anyone as doing anything till they respond and agree to do a section. One person looks through the assignments and posts a even breakdown of what there is to do, and who ever had the double section can pick first and has right to the easiest section the following week. No problems so far.
  6. This sounds like a waste of time... to be honest. They are extensive and can take hours to complete. Dividing it out, posting before due date so the group can revise and look over each others work is working great. It's a group assignment because doing it all on your own would be too much.
  7. At least you have 6 people. We have 4 people... so that someone has to do double. So far the group members are great.
  8. Where is everyone from? I am from CT.
  9. Does anyone have the assignment instructions for the 5 weeks so I can get a head start?
  10. I will be there with you! I posted previously for other classes, and it didn't start any great dialogue. Hopefully this one will be different. Does everyone have their books yet? I think I bought the last instock copy at amazon.
  11. Call your adviser who is listed by last name, and your academic partner contact. They will help you.
  12. Was this class pass fail? Or did you get a grade? What was the max page numbers?
  13. It really comes down to having the requirements. It's not selective at all. If your an RN, or soon to be an RN. And have the grade point average, they accept you. As you get closer to your perspective start date is when they push your paper work to the front. I applied almost a year ahead of time and they finished it 3 months after. And then evaluated my transcript.
  14. I am no help! But I'd like to know more about this as well.
  15. Email your adviser. Mine emailed it to me on request today. It's not posted yet. But they have it.
  16. I am making my plan now for the rest of the year. Which classes would you double up on? I am taking all suggestions. I have 8 Nursing classes to do still, which is all of them, besides the first A/B (5 sessions this year remaining) Perspective Schedule May 20th 1- Holistic Care of the Older Adult - 3325 2- Nursing Research - 4325 June 3rd Medical Terminology -3309 July 1st 3-Health Promotion- 3335 4- Care of the Vulnerable Pop/LifeSpan -4465 August 12th 5- Health Assessment -3425 August 26th 1-Us History -1311 September 23rd 6- Nursing Leadership - 4455 7- Legacy of the Family - 3352 (Upper Division Elective October 28th US History 2 -1312 November 4th 8- Capstone Nursing - January - Last 2 Coreq's To Be scheduled once schedule is released. Texas Government - 2312 Sophomore Literature Class
  17. I am just sitting down to do this now. I just got the new schedule, which i believe came out today. I am actually on here to find what classes people successfully doubled up on as I make my plan.
  18. I really like it so far. I haven't found it too challenging yet. I am in Professional nursing class and taking US gov class at the same time. I plan on doubling up my nursing classes, at least on a few of the upcoming classes.
  19. I haven't even started yet, but I had heard reports its not the best place to work. so we will see how it goes. I have to what is best for me and my family in the end.
  20. I work in an area that is tough to get your first RN job. I had to hustle for every interview. I finally got interviews. I received a per diem job. Then a full Time job offer. And now my higher choices are calling for interviews. Because I need benefits I am not in a position to say no. Now that these other places of employment are calling, at what point is it rude to say I have chosen elsewhere and take a different offer? And what if soon after I get hired, I get an actual offer elsewhere, do i just out my notice in? The job I soon start at is lower on the scale of pay, and lacks opportunities to get me where I want to be. The benefit is that it's a solid offer, and I am actively using my license. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated.
  21. Thank you for your response! I was concerned about this! That was the only thing in my background that I would ever be an issue. 1
  22. Does anyone have any experience on getting a job or being rejected for it?
  23. Will a recent bankruptcy cause an RN to not pass a back ground check and fail? Should I expect everywhere to be uninterested in someone with a bankruptcy ?
  24. 2311 doesn't need a book. A friend in it now told me. Can I take an upper level elective with the first nursing class? I thought it would not be acceptable.
