  1. Thank you both! I sincerely appreciate it!
  2. I am entering LPN school, finishing my CNA course, getting my license, and looking around for jobs. As a CNA, can I legally double as a medical assistant, or does that require a different approval? The prereqs for the MA jobs don't seem to state whether or not having another delegation is necessary.
  3. Thank you guys so much. I'm not even that far into my schooling yet and already I am gettinf pretty stressed! I feel really fortunate to have found a place where people understand. Everyone in my math class seems so on top if it...and I just sit there wanting to cry, lol. Good thing it's finals week.
  4. I'm 21 years old and in CNA courses, and I've met the pre-reqs for my LPN, but in order to do the LPN to RN program I will have to get all the way to statistics from where I am now which is intermediate algerbra. I am feeling pretty discouraged, I can get through math, it just takes me so much longer than everyone else and I'm guessing it will be at least another year before I can get all the way to statistics. Has anyone else struggled with math? Is there a point where you should just give in to your poor math skills and choose a different route?
  5. Does anyony have any experience with the Dickies brand for scrubs? I am looking for different scrubs for my clinicals because the ones I bought through my school (I think they buy them in bulk from Costco) don't wash up well (look un professional after 2 washes,) and they're way too long, I need short sizes. I've noticed they're a little more costly than some brands, but they look pretty comfortable/nice. Opinions?
  6. Thank you! The only pre-reqs I have left over from my LPN is chemistry, so I should be fine! I love science, lol! I wish I could go straight to RN but the waiting lists here are so huge! I've considered applying to schools in Oregon and California, but am not sure if that would help at all! Thank you though, I plan on going as far as I can with my education!
  7. Thank you so much for the links! I apologize for another post about it, I haven't quite learned to navigate around these forums yet! But thanks!
  8. Due to the waiting list here (and a couple colleges wanting LPN certificate as a pre-req,) I'll be going for my LPN this spring after my CNA is finished. I've read a little online, but it wasn't all that clear. For starters, can someone please explain the major and minor differences with responsibility, etc. when it comes to CNA vs. LPN vs. RN? Also, upon looking at hospitals in my area that are hiring, I see very few job postins for LPN's, but many for RN's. I have contacted human resources to see what they have to say about the lack of LPN jobs, does anyone have experience with this? LPN programs have become HUGE in Washington in the last 2 years, so I don't understand why there wouldn't be job positions readily available. Thank you!
