Other goals can include -Patient (or even patient's family/caregivers) will express an understanding of ways to prevent falls -Patient will demonstrate appropriate use of assistive devices (cane, walker, grab bars) I always find that that goals pertaining to educating the patient and family make a care plan come full circle. If you don't do something that can help change a behavior you are probably going to see the same patient, with the same problem time and time again.
  2. I am not exactly sure if this is the best way to answer these types of questions, but it has always worked for me. I just reword the statment in this format ".....depends on...." So, for your example I would say that the researcher is trying to determine if "student's grades depend on the amount of time they spend in labs" making Course Grades the dependent variable and time spent in labs the independent variable. Try applying that ".....depends on...." statment to other examples and see if it is helpful!
