ISU Fast Track Program-Boise
I had all but 2 of the pre-reqs done with my original degree (I was pre-med). I took the last two classes online through BSU while working full time. Also, if you have classes that may be similar to the pre-reqs you can petition to have them waived. Example: Microbiology lab is required, but I only took the class, but I had several other biology labs. I petitioned it and the lab was waived. During your advising, Micki will let you know what may be approved. Good luck!

ISU Fast Track Program-Boise
Hi Mr.Tom. Some advice. 1. Print off the application from the website and go step by step through it. It is pretty thorough. Make sure you have completed all the requirements needed before applying. You can get it at ISU Fast Track Web Site. 2. Arrange an appointment NOW with Micki Goodwin, the program coordinator. Take your college transcript with you so she can make sure all of your classes match up. The secretaries email is [email protected] 3. Entrance is purely based off pre-req GPA and the TEAS test. Buy the book offered by ATI (ATI's Web Site). I went through it on a road trip front to back...and got a really good score. It would be worth your time and money. 4. There are three co-reqs (Nutrition, Bioethics, Pharmacology). If you can get them out of the way ahead of time...it will save you 10 credits you first semester. If you have any other questions, let me know. I go to orientation tomorrow!

ISU Fast-track program?
The ISU Fast Track program is a 4 semester program that Starts in January and ends in May of the following year. It is for students who already have a Bachelors degree in something, but there are some required prereqs. It is full time/accellerated and is not for the weak of heart. The nurses that come out of this program with a BSN are some of the most highly recruited in the treasure valley. I work at one of the local hospitals, and I have heard nothing but positive remarks about the program from preceptors as well as students. If you already have a degree and want to be a nurse, I would highly recommend this program. Follow the link below for the first semester schedule. http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=ddp6wrcw_45c2q6pdd5
