Any other ITT nursing students worried?
Well, classes started December 1 and all seems OK. I am happy to say. The classes are covered, and they have an Interim Chair. So it looks like I worried for nothing. Thanks for all the replies and the support!

HELP! I got dismissed from my nursing school
Yea, it sounds like you were asleep. And that would certainly endanger patients. As an RN on the job, most hospitals will fire you if you fall asleep at work. This is really no different. What is the school's policy for dismissing a student? Did the school follow that policy? Hopefully you can learn from this and reapply next semester. Be sure you know the proper procedure, so that you don't get caught in a formality. good luck!

So tired of hearing about what it's like in the "real world!"
It is frustrating to hear "real world". Remember, the NCLEX tests on what is the "textbook" way. So learn it from the book. Once you get your license, then you can have the clinical judgement to vary from the textbook way. Once you learn it correctly, by the book, then you know what is the right way to perfom a particular task. Good Luck!

Any other ITT nursing students worried?
I have been at ITT Technical Institute Indianapolis for a year. Recently I learned that the Program chair quit, she was fed up with the policies and lack of support from the Dean and higher ups. Classes start back up on Monday and I have heard that there are many faculty that quit after the Chair left. Has anyone else heard if we are going to have classes or not??

ITT RN Program
It is too bad that the Chair of the ITT program quit recently. She was one of the only people at ITT that cared about the students, and upheld the profession of Nursing. With her gone, I am very concerned of the direction this program will take.

Medtech, Indiana Buisness College
I don't know much about Med Tech or IBC, but ITT Tech is in the same class as these others. 3 of the major hospital systems in Indy WILL NOT hire students, or graduates from any of these schools. So be CAREFUL when you are looking. Their credits DO NOT tranfer to other colleges or universities and you end up paying $45,000 for your Associate degree. I quit after going to ITT for a year. It is riduculous the amount they charge and the gen ed courses are a JOKE!!
