Please advise. I interviewed for the ED in my NYC inner city hospital 1 week ago. I have almost 8 yrs experience in this same hospital. I work on a busy cardiac tele unity now. I feel the interview went very very well. It was a "group" interview, and very relaxed. I have a good rep in this hospital and made good friends on every unit I've worked. My current manager informed me that the ED manager called her for a reference THE DAY I interviewed, and that she (my current manager) gave me a GREAT one (which I really do deserve) she hates to see me go, but is supportive. It's been a week now and I have not heard anything except there are a few more interviews left early this week. I believe there are 3-4 positions open. I can't stand the suspense! Is there any advice out there except for "just be patient", LOL? Also, any advice for a seasoned RN going to the ED? thanks.
